Little Creek Farm

Saturday, September 12.  9:00-Noon

Lunch will be provided at noon

Please Bring Your Own Tools and Buckets

(gloves, hand saws, loppers, shovels, rakes, etc.)

It’s time to spruce up the barn for Fall.  We need lots of help with the following tasks:

o Flower bed maintenance in front and back of the barn   o weeding, removing day lilies and invasive plants o dividing and replanting ferns o pruning rose bushes and other shrubs o lots of privet, so hand saws would be helpful  o Weed removal in outdoor arena and round pen o weeds that have sprouted along the fence lines & sand o pull sand from the fence line of the outdoor arena o wash stall cobweb removal

If you like to play in the water, bring waders and a bucket to clean debris from the creek banks  and creek.

Saturday, September 19.  5:00 to 7:00

In place of HorseFest, the Little Creek Farm Conservancy Board invites members and friends to  an evening of food and conversation and a shared appreciation of our Horse Home here at little creek farm.

The Conservancy will provide water and soft drinks and  you bring a dish to share and any additional beverages you wish to bring.  a sign up sheet will be sent out and we hope all will join us in a night of relaxation and fun.

While we are eating and enjoying the evening at the farm, the Board invites you to fill out comment cards with your thoughts about where you’d like to see LCFC fundraising efforts be directed.

  1. Want things to stay the same?

  1. Have an idea for a new  event?

  1. Is there a special event that would bring you to the barn as a  leader/volunteer?

Please consider while the LCFC strives to raise money  for LCF improvements for all of us to share, we are committed to expanding our outreach program to our local community and public.

As a Dekalb County Park, it is important that our events raise our visibility as a park where everyone is welcome to visit and to enjoy learn about horses.

It is  only with the help of our entire barn community that these efforts can be successful.

At the end of the evening, comment cards will be collected and a follow-up survey based on your  comments will be sent for follow-up feedback.
