Directions and Parking: We’ll meet at the back of the Park by the kiosk and picnic tables at the intersection of Orion Drive and Valley PL, NOT at the horse barn. From Lawrenceville Hwy, turn east onto Orion Drive. Follow Orion roughly 0.3 miles until you see the park kiosk on your left. Parking is on the street
Birding Focus: We will be walking in a moderately easy sandy, damp flood plain along the creek. Access to the walk involves navigating a short set of stairs from the road. Birding from the road is an option for those more comfortable walking on a firm surface or who have difficulty with stairs. Birds recently seen at the Farm Park include red-shouldered and red-tailed hawks, downy and red-bellied woodpeckers, flickers, and yellow-bellied sapsuckers, phoebes, golden and ruby-crowned kinglets, hermit thrushes, towhees, swamp and field sparrows.
