In the Beginning
Since 2004, LCFC has held true to its mission to support the park through fundraising for capital improvements and community programming. Additionally, LCFC has been steadfast in providing additional support to the County during times of significant change. Little Creek Farm Conservancy was formed to provide thousands of volunteer hours, generous donations, and other support leading to successful management of Little Creek Horse Farm & Park.
A special acknowledgment to the Founders and LCFC Presidents and Vice-Presidents who led all the amazing volunteers towards so many successful capital improvements, fundraising, and community programming.
Park Founders
In 2004, these amazing individuals had the foresight to ask Dekalb County to consider purchasing Little Creek and creating a horse park for Dekalb County Citizens. In addition, this stellar team formed and implemented Little Creek Farm Conservancy to provide public programming, fundraising and capital improvements to Little Creek Horse Farm & Park and it’s community.

It all became reality in 2004 when the Little Creek land and barn went up for sale. Kat Smith-Tice attended a Tucker Business Association meeting and was presented with the opportunity to meet and invite a Dekalb County Commissioner to visit Little Creek and meet with the concerned neighbors and boarders. The idea of Little Creek becoming a park for the entire Dekalb County community was launched!
Little Creek Farm Conservancy
The County made the decision to purchase Little Creek and add the land to the Dekalb County park system, however, due to lack of experience of managing a horse facility, the next move was for the founders to start-up Little Creek Farm Conservancy to provide stewardship, guidance, and support.
The 3 main focus areas are Fundraising, Captial Improvements, and Public Programming and the Conservancy has proved itself time and time again over the years due to passionate individuals who have volunteered their time, skills and energies.
