In 2004, Dekalb County purchased Little Creek Horse Farm & Park as greenspace and to maintain the Park as a boarding facility. Later that year, the Little Creek Farm Conservancy was organized by boarders (horse owners who lease stalls) to provide support and advice to the County. In 2007, LCFC obtained non-profit status.
Since then, the Conservancy’s mission has focused on fundraising for capital improvements around the Park, and providing programming such as: Hands on Horses, volunteers for special work days and everyday chores, birthday party packages and pony rides 3 times per year.
The Conservancy works closely with DC management to prioritize projects that will improve the Park experience for horses and humans. We remain 100% volunteer run to maximize the impact of donations and grants.
