Help Little Creek Horse Farm & Park’s environmental goals:
Support exciting progress towards obtaining Audubon certifications in specified locations of the park is happening! As ivy and privet are removed, dedicated areas of the park are being targeted to plant native fauna.
In 2018, Keller Williams chose Little Creek Horse Farm & Park to benefit from their RED Day, their annual Day of Service.
The decision was made to focus on the stairway to the trail that winds along the creek towards Valley Brook Rd. Native plants, boulders, and hard work towards the beautification of this area.
Volunteers continue to maintain this section of the park combatting invasives and continued caretaking and installation of native plants.
Installed Native Plants:
What to do with an old paddock that was closed down due to the highly eroded state of this section of land with steep creek banksides?
Go for an Audubon Grant! In 2019, Little Creek Farm Conservancy submitted a grant proposal to the Atlanta Audubon Society and won a special grant that brings design and hard work to a previously uncared section of the park.
