Little Creek Farm Conservancy was organized by Farm boarders in May 2004 to support DeKalb County with the acquisition and development of Little Creek Farm into a horse park. LCFC develops programs and events that bring the community to Little Creek Horse Farm and works with the County on behalf of the Park.
The Conservancy includes both horse people and members who do not ride or board horses at Little Creek Farm but value this unique park and farm. Members and visitors enjoy interaction with horses and the beautiful green space that is Little Creek.
Little Creek Farm is a historic property that had been farmed by the Sargent family since before the Civil War. Originally encompassing hundreds of acres, sections of the historic farm became the subdivisions and retail areas in the neighborhood. The low-lying flood zone around the intersection of Little Creek and the South Fork of Peachtree Creek was not suitable for development. With the support and vision of the Conservancy, the land is a wonderful addition to DeKalb County’s park and green space system.
