Little Creek Horse Farm and Park makes wonderful facilities and amenities available to County residents and visitors:
- Sunset Pavilion: The Pavilion has a beautiful view of the floodplain, Outdoor Arena, Round Pen and horses grazing in their pasture. The Pavilion is a relaxing viewing area with safe seating for visitors, small orientations, training and meetings.
- Trail & Picnic Tables: Walking trails along the pastures and beside the creek are accessible near the intersection of Orion Drive and Valley Place with stair access to a picnic area. Conservancy plantings make this area welcoming to birds.
- Indoor Arena and Stable: The Park’s largest structure has an indoor arena used for horseback riding lessons, which are available to the public through Mark’s Riding School and Atlanta Riding Academy as well as to Stride Ahead’s equine assisted therapy clients. The arena is enclosed by 4 blocks of stalls inhabited by the horses of Little Creek Farm. The building includes wash stalls, tack rooms, Park offices and storage rooms, feed rooms, and a viewing room with seating to watch activity in the arena.
- Outdoor Arena: The Park’s largest fenced riding space, the outdoor arena is equipped with a selection of jumps and obstacles. It’s used for classes and individual lessons from beginning through competitive levels.
- Grass Ring: Located in the pastures and accessible from within the Farm and also from the Orion Drive and Thrift Place intersection, the grass ring serves as a sectioned pasture area and is also used for riding classes and Stride Ahead equine assisted client interactions.
- Round Pen: Set in the pasture between the Outdoor arena and Sunset Pavillion, the Round Pen is used to exercise horses and for specific skills training for horses and humans.
- Pastures: Little Creek has 4 pastures comprising about a third of the Park’s acreage. The pasture below the barn is divided into paddocks and smaller grazing areas. The southwest pasture is visible from the access road to the park. The southeast pastures are visible from Orion and are joined by a fenced ford across the creek.
